WIP: Binary

My big work-in-progress at the moment is Binary from Knitty.

As of today, 14 repeats out of 60 are done.

It was supposed to be my partner's birthday present last July, but somehow I was still knitting presents from the year before...

Anyway, I finally started it this month, and it's rolling along nicely.

This is my second colorwork project. The charts have the two colors carefully spaced (no more than three stitches apart, except for the two all-black rows). As long as I check my pattern at the end of each repeat, I seem to be okay.

I'm using Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted in M-05 (Onyx) & M-120 (Limeade).
Needles are 36" long Clover bamboo #9s. (I'm using one long circular.)

The plan is to do 2 pattern repeats (2 rows of numbers) every day until I'm done.

So far so good... I might even be caught up againwith my gift knitting by August! ;)

These charts would make a really cool hat brim or gloves or something, too...

Shake Off the Dust

Time to start this ancient blog up again...

I'm deleting the 3-4 past posts, since this will now be my knitting blog.

Why now? *grin* Because my Ravelry invite just arrived!

(I'm glad they're being careful not to overload their servers, and grateful this cool, free community exists at all -- but I'm so excited to get started now!)
